Practice Mindful Breathing

August 4, 2025

Mindful breathing is simple yet powerful at helping you become more right minded. For 10 minutes daily sit quietly and focus on your breath. Create a mindset of your body breathing without any effort on your part. In other words, give up control. Simply attend to it and imagine your body breathing you. At first, most people’s breathing will increase just by noticing it. However, over time your body will ignore that it’s being watched and will begin to breathe by itself. If taken seriously, this simple act has the potential to radically reshape your life in a good way as it opens you to knowledge inaccessible via the left hemisphere.

For more advanced practitioners, ask for God’s presence and ask for all the trauma that your heart has been holding to be gently and lovingly healed. Ask God to heal your heart of all blockages of love so you can let more love in and give more love out. Feel love and kindness toward your heart as you gently release through your breath. Your breath is letting go of the pain, sorrow, loss, fear, and anger. Just as you used rods to have peripheral vision, open up your awareness to include all the subtle feelings, images, and nonverbal information. Create space for not knowing and be interested to discover what happens next. Don’t resist or try to analyze it. Just be present. Increasing your capacity to love God, love yourself, and love others is a worthy goal of spiritually focused mindful breathing.
