Ever since I read Lynne McTaggart’s book, “The Power of Eight”, I have been interested in forming a group and putting her theories to the test. According to Lynne, there are measurable changes when done properly. One member expresses a desire to heal whatever is bothering them. The other seven members quietly focus their helping intention in a circle around the identified person for 10 minutes. Then each person shares their experience. It appears all members notice benefit from this. Each person gets a turn to be in the center and participants quickly begin to feel connected to each other. It seems to serve several purposes. It provides healing and camaraderie in an atmosphere of caring and kindness. There is a 7 minute instructional video to to watch here, and a 40 minute podcast on How Small Groups Can Change the World here. If you are interested in being part of this Power of Eight group here in Eugene, contact me at email@example.com and let me know your background.
